This was taken in early August, 2008. While the scene itself is typical of the Byward Market, the light, for a few moments, was spectacular. These moments are extremely rare indeed and for photographers like me who roam the streets for that perfect shot, this moment was a blessing. Is this the perfect shot? No it isn’t. But does the light in this scene evoke a feeling from you? It does for me and that’s why I took this image. I took several others as well, all of which allow me tp feel a sense of awe at the beauty of it all.
